school choice for non-Catholics?

Yes! Local schools are closing but the parents/sponsors of these kids can choose either Bells Corners Public School or Our Lady of Peace.

Catholic school boards usually accept non-Catholics (but this may change if provincial funding is cut off).

Lots of non-Catholics go to publicly-funded Catholic schools, sometimes for the wrong reasons.

School choice is a hot topic in Stittsville – there’s no local public high school so many non-Catholics go to Sacred Heart.
