Earl McRae rips into RC

The old shinkicker is back! And he’s in fine fighting form.

After bringing down Larry O’Brien, Earl McRae has now set his sights on even bigger game.

Rumour has it that Mr. McRae will show up tonight (Saturday) at 7 p.m. at the Bells Corners Local Heroes to meet his many BC fans eager to buy the local scribe a club sandwich (which is what the councillor orders when he drops in there for lunch).

Other “surprise guests” may include Local Heroes owner and former Rough Rider great Mark Kosmos, Lorne Waters (Lynwood Village resident and a Boston Bruin star in the days of the Original Six), the current mayor of Ottawa and maybe, just maybe, (I’m not promising anything) Mr. Big himself!

    Randall Denley takes another whack at RC.

    – Earl McRae won’t let go of it either – they smell blood!

    I vote we name the archives either the “Randall McRae Archives” or the “Earl Denley Archives” in honour of Ottawa’s top investigative reporters.

    I know, I know, they’re still alive and shinkicking, but so is Madeleine Meilleur.

    Catch fibbing, spinning a yarn, blatant bull****ing, no, that can’t be the “Mr. Donut” everyone knows and loves. Say it’s not so Earl, say it’s not so!

    – Earl won’t let us down. He’s got RC on the ropes, reeling from the body blows. One more left hook and the career politician will be down for the count.

    I won’t bother buying doughnuts for the Thursday, May 19, 7 p.m. public meeting in the Lynwood Park community building, 7 Sycamore, Bells Corners – RC always brings doughnuts.

    But he might pull a fast one and bring pizza and pop instead.
