These Bells Corners kids raved about the new skateboard park in Kanata and lamented Rick’s broken political promises.
It’s good to see the new “bike lanes” being well used.
These peds aren’t too impressed with Rick’s $3M intersection expansion. The kid was undecided.
Over budget, late and poor urban planning designed to benefit a few at the expense of the many?
I met this woman when I cycled over to Centrepointe and Mary Pitt Park to nominate myself for councillor.
Nice graphic design on the t-shirt!
I stopped at one of Rick’s many offices to say hi to Betty Nukem.
She’s one of Rick’s favourite canvassers.
If you’re lucky she’ll be on on your doorstep soon singing the praises of the world’s longest-serving professional politician.
Or you might get Nancy.
Or even both of them!
If you’re unlucky you might get the councillor or Lida knocking on your door.
If you’re REALLY unlucky you’ll get me or Jim.
Maybe the next ped walking east on the strip can push this cart towards the Metro?
Technically this is illegal but I guess we can cut this woman some slack?
Heritage wooden sign and classy modern sign.
Cycling back to Bells Corners from Fort Rick I spotted a mysterious object in the bush.
Maybe it has something to do with the Kenyan marathon runner who dropped in to Bell HS?
He led Bell students and teachers on a merry run through the Bell woods.
Meanwhile Bells Corners PS was having its track and field day for grades 3-5 at Bell HS. Good on them for walking over instead of hiring a bus.
This contractor for the City was tidying up Donoghue Memorial Park – he wasn’t too impressed with the fresh graffiti.
The City of Ottawa will fine you if you don’t clean up the mess that vandals make on your property. This woman was very upset – the equipment she rented only worked on the white paint.
The City will hire contractors or use City workers to remove graffiti on public space. Bells Corners businesses don’t have to pay for cleanup – Alex has a special slush fund of $10,000 tax dollars a year for distribution to his BIA buddies and favoured Kanata residents.
These guys told me that business is booming.
Don’t try this at home – these guys are pros.
A tag already in one of the brand new randomly placed bus shelters.
NOT a good place to put a sign – it’s illegal and if the glue on the tape dries out it’s a bugger to remove the residue from the glass.
This citizen helped out by sticking it on a doomed ash tree, upside down to attract more attention. Remember, if you put it up, you take it down after your event.
Here’s the location of the Sat. May 31 community garage sale.
There will probably be garage sales all over Bells Corners on May 31.
An intriguing event Sat. May 24, 1-3 p.m. at Bells Corners’ newest church – a GIANT clothing swap!
Yes, Bells Corners has it all!
From pigs to docs.
From shotgun shells at Phatboy’s to laser-guided missiles at General Dynamics Canada.
Rats! I’m getting creamed in the polls. I was off to an early lead but Rick unleashed Betty and the team with their multiple portable devices/IP addresses to stuff the virtual ballot box.
