The workers are installing power lines for the new “traffic loops” that have been embedded on the shared-use bike path that crosses Carling Ave. near the Ottawa River.

When the cyclist hits this point the weight of the bike on the loop will trigger the new traffic light.

The intersection at Holly Acres and the bike path is getting the same treatment (the new lights can also be triggered by Creek’s End motorists wanting a green light to exit their enclave).

There are new City rules letting homeowners outside of the Greenbelt expand their driveways by building on their front lawns. What about Bells Corners residents? We’re neither inside nor outside of the Greenbelt – we’re right inside of it!
