Our Lady of Peace at risk?


The Fraser Institute’s report card ranks Our Lady of Peace 525th out of 2695 Ontario schools. It got a 7.5 rating out of 10 and ranked as one of the 10 fastest improving Ottawa schools over the past 5 years. Here are some other results for local schools.

In 2013-14 the provincial government is going to stop paying subsidies for schools that are “underutilized” (occupied at under 65% capacity) and Our Lady of Peace currently sits at 53%, one of 17 schools in the English Catholic Board at or below 65%. Bayshore Catholic is at 60%.
